William Steele
William Steele is a junior finance major with an information technology minor. He has been a member of the Fund since his Sophomore year,
where he covered the Autos and Media & Telecom sectors as a Junior Analyst. This is his first semester in leadership and is a Senior Analyst in the Autos sector. This summer he will
be interning as a Sales & Trading Analyst at Citi. In his spare time, he enjoys rugby, reading, and staying active.
Shalin Patel
Chairman / Senior Analyst
Shalin Patel is a finance major graduating in May 2020. This is his third semester in leadership, serving as Portfolio Manager for two semesters prior to his current role. Shalin has been a Senior Analyst in the Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals sectors for two semesters. He interned at Citi this past summer as a Sales & Trading Summer Analyst and will be returning full-time this July. In his spare time, Shalin enjoys hiking and watching Premier League Soccer.
Kaytan Mahalaha
Kaytan Mahalaha is an Honors Junior Finance and Economics double major graduating in Spring 2021. He has served as Co-President of the UMass Investment Club for the past two semesters and currently serves as a Senior Advisor. He has been a member of the Fund since his Sophomore year and currently covers the Technology sector as a Senior Analyst. This summer he will be interning as a Sales & Trading Analyst at Citi. In his spare time, he enjoys staying active, watching sports, and spending time with family.

Bradley is a senior finance major graduating in the Spring of 2020. This past summer he was a credit research intern at Barclays where he covered investment grade insurance and high yield retail. He will be returning to Barclays full-time this summer. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, skiing, and gardening.
Thomas White
Senior Analyst (Cons. Staples)
Thomas is a senior finance major graduating in May 2020. He is currently a Senior Analyst for the consumer staples and consumer discretionary sectors, and he is the former Chairman of the fund. This past summer, he interned at RBC Capital Markets in their Investment Banking Division. He worked with the Leveraged Finance and Leveraged Finance Capital Markets Groups and will be returning full-time to LFCM. He has previously interned with Loomis, Sayles & Company as a credit research summer associate. In his free time, Thomas enjoys reading, traveling, and relaxing on the beach.

Colleen is a senior finance major and IT minor graduating in Spring 2020. Colleen will be joining Loomis Sayles & Company in Boston this June in their Credit Research Training Program. Colleen worked at Wellington Management as an intern for the Summers of 2018 & 2019. In her spare time Colleen enjoys running and reading.
James Offner
Senior Analyst (Healthcare)
James is a senior finance major graduating in Spring 2020. He is a Senior Analyst responsible for coverage of the healthcare sector. He worked at Fidelity Investments as an Institutional Sales Intern this past summer and will be joining the Finance Leadership Development Program at Raytheon after graduation. In his spare time he enjoys poker and tending to his garden.

Julia is a junior finance major graduating in Fall 2020. She is a Senior Analyst responsible for coverage of the energy sector. She worked as a Credit Research Intern at Loomis Sayles this past summer, and will be joining Credit Suisse as a Debt Capital Markets Intern this summer. In her spare time, she enjoys doing Pure Barre workouts.

Rishi is a senior finance major graduating in Spring 2020. He is a Senior Analyst responsible for coverage of the airline and homebuilder industries. Christian is a senior finance major graduating in May of 2020. He is a Senior Analyst responsible for coverage of the Transports sector. Christian has previously worked as a Summer Analyst in Citigroup’s Global Markets program, at State Street Global Markets in Sydney, Australia as well as Morgan Stanley’s PWM Division in Boston. He will be joining Raymond James after graduation as an Investment Banking Analyst.

Senior Analyst - Studying Abroad
Isabella is a junior finance major with expecting to graduate in Spring 2021. She interned at Citigroup in its Sophomore Leadership Program last summer and will be returning to Citi this summer as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. Isabella was on the founding team and Chief Investment Officer of Smart Woman Securities prior to studying abroad this semester. In her spare time, she enjoys fitness classes and skiing.

Senior Analyst - Studying Abroad
Jeremy is a junior finance major expected to graduate in May of 2021. He is a senior analyst who previously covered homebuilders and is now responsible for covering pharmaceuticals. This summer, Jeremy will be joining Brookfield Asset Management as an investment analyst rotating between corporate credit, energy, and industrials. In his spare time, Jeremy enjoys playing poker and exploring the outdoors.

Dan is pursuing a dual degree in finance and economics, with an expected graduation in May 2022. He is a senior analyst covering the media and telecom sector. Last summer he interned at Carlson Capital as a Capital Markets Intern covering IPOs. This summer he will be interning with Jefferies as a Markets Analyst. In his spare time, Dan enjoys kayaking and biking.

Previously, Tyler has interned at State Street Corporation as well as Wells Fargo's Middle Market Banking Team. Naomi Lau is a junior finance major in the Isenberg School of Management. Last summer she interned at United Technologies as a Corporate Finance Intern and this summer she will be interning at Eaton Vance on its Diversified Fixed Income Team. Outside of the fund Naomi is an active member of Habitat for Humanity, Smart Women Securities, Women in Business, and Outdoors Club.

Evan is a sophomore pursuing a triple-degree in finance, computer science, and economics. He is a junior analyst and currently covers the technology sector. This summer, Evan will be joining UBS as a wealth management summer intern. He enjoys spending his free time woodworking and playing poker.

Gabe is a Brazilian international student who is a sophomore finance and economics major graduating in May 2022. He is a junior analyst responsible for coverage in the consumer staples sector. This summer, Gabe will be interning at Capital Stark in São Paulo, where he will be an Investment Banking Analyst under the M&A group. In his free time, Gabe enjoys playing soccer and handball, and watching his favorite TV show Suits.

Oliver is a sophomore honors student in his first semester at MFIF. He is pursuing a dual-degree in finance and economics and graduating in Spring 2022. Oliver is responsible for coverage of the Auto sector, and is interested in a career in wealth and asset management.
